my pups are six weeks and just wonderin whens the best time for them to go to there new homes?
there all feeding well but still drink lots of mum this is our first litter would be gratefull for some advise many thanx.

From about 7½ weeks to 8 weeks - no sooner. They've got a lot of learning to do from each other and from their mum before they're ready to go.

As JG says, 7-8 weeks is general practice however if yours is a toy breed it could be up to 12 weeks before being suitable to allow them to go to new homes.

they are a medium sized breed

Mine were lapping water almost as soon as I started weaning them - perhaps ensure they don't have access to mum for an hour or so before and after feeds and have a shallow dish of water available at all times (I'm thinking much splashing so regular top-ups LOL)

It's only natural they'd prefer to drink from the milk bar if mum is still happy to let them.  I found mine got quite excited by water though (and splashing :-p )
Perhaps adding goat's milk to the water initially and gradually making it more dillute will encourage them.

they would rather play in it than drink it lol i will try the goats milk see if it makes them more interested

Dare we ask how mum is now?  I know she was having a few 'issues', has she settled ok with the pups, etc?

If Mum is ok with visitors, would others agree now might be a good time for one or two human visitors too for human socialisation? 
(Just kind of thinking back to Lisa's previous post and thought it might be important).

mum is fine think she was havin an off day!!!

they will i think im goin to be really choosy about where they go iv grown really fond of them even though they are very mischieveous lol!!!

im really relieved that shes her old self again.

And rightly so!  You be as picky and choosy as you like, they're precious and you rightly want to make sure they go to good homes :)
