we are wanting to buy a female,already house & obedience trained,age 9 months to
1 1/2 years old,spaded,pet only.We live in Bloomington,IL & will travel 300 mile radius
to pick-up the Westie Female.

Westie Club of America is a good place to start your search. There's a lot of helpful information on the site, to include a profile 'test' for the breed :)
Westie Rescue would also be worthwhile checking out since you want a full grown dog and there might be one needing a home in your area.

I would try just as Toodles has given. Rescues etc.

Any dog that goes to a new home won't be perfect and you will need to give it time to adjust to it's new surroundings, where it goes to toilet etc. 9 months plus is still all part of the time you do training with them.

I would also suggest doing a bit of research into the breed and find out what they are like to own etc. Make sure they are what you are looking for in a pet.

PS WESTIES are only WHITE, no other colour.
