Topic Dog Boards / Health / Yeast Infection?

At the beginning of the month I bathed my dogs and noticed T-Bones fur around her girly part seemed gucky- did not think any thing about it. Looked at her lastnight and she is very gucky with a yellowish  stuff all over the area. Could she have a yeast infection? She does not seem to clean the area or any thing- she still eats, sleeps, plays as normal- nothing has changed there. She is 8 years old.

Come to think of it I have never really seen her clean herself- am thinking now that maybe her and Dozer kept each other clean and he's not with us anymore. Could she maybe have had this for awhile and I just never noticed it till now because Dozer is no longer here?

I have a vet appt booked for tuesday at 8:30pm- one dog after the other lately in my house :-(

Any idea's on what this is would be great- thank you :-)

funny you should say that as our Boston Terrier is sore around her lady bits with no discharge (around the bit at the top the flappy bit)she has licked herself a bit but she has been on antibiotics which finished 2 weeks ago what i wondered was do dogs get Trush like humans sometimes get after antibiotics? has your girl been on any medication, good luck at the vets.

I have not noticed any discharge coming from her bits- just all around it and she has not been licking it at all- She's not on anything as of yet since her appt is not until tomorrow night. Unless its normal discharge and since we had to pts Dozer she just isn't keeping herself clean- they kept each other clean all the time- better safe then sorry so off to the vets we will be going....

Not sure if they get thrush like babies....

Will keep posted once I find out whats wrong with her....
