We test for liver shunt in our breed but there is some confusion as to whether it is hereditary or congenital,I gather it is hereditary in wolfies,i know about the testing ,symptoms diagnosis and management  but does anyone have any information on the hereditary aspects. Thanks

This just says there is a genetic basis in certain breeds but it is not understood. You may have to do some Googling. :-)
