I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Just take your time and maybe you'll be able to tell your family in time.  Put your feet up and take some time to yourself and have a cuddle with your other 3 who i'm sure will help you through this difficult time.

What you have written tells me that it's not just the loss of your girl, although that is bad enough, it's the way she died and whatever you saw.  You really NEED to talk about what you saw as locking this away in your head will not help you come to terms with it all.

You have my sincere sympathy for your loss, you must have such a big hole in your heart right now, but please talk about it to someone, otherwise it will eat away at you.

God bless.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  To loose a dog, under tragic circumstances, oh dear I am at a loss for words, because I know nothing I say is going to make the pain go away.

We are hear to listen, whenever you are ready.  Take time to take care of yourself, during this time.  Let your emotions run their course, and dont let it eat away at you.  People will understand that you are not ready to talk about it yet to them.  But you do need to talk to someone about what you are feeling, and what you saw.

The biggest hugs I can send to you.  You are in my thoughts and prayers today.  May Phoebe Run Free at the Bridge.

Sorry to hear your sad news losing your phoebe.

You don't have to say anything about the circumstances of the death of your beloved pet, but remember its only natural of your Mum & brother to ask details, its only human nature to want to know how things occurred to HELP YOU come to terms with how it happened?  Coming to terms with your loss first is the best way, before talking about upsetting things.

Only time will heal this tragic incident.
big hugs

Thanks again for your messages

I have now spoken to my brother and mum and I think it has helped that no what happenend though i have not told them what i walked into as i dont think they need to no what i saw, and had to do

It is some thing i will never forgot

Phoebe we have had for 7 yrs, she was the most wonderfull dog and did not deserve to die the way she did!!! It was so tragic and I feel for the other dogs and what they went through though they are eating and playing so that is one less worry...they keep trying to look for her which i no is natural and i no in time they wont as ive been through that part before

Now need to be brave and leave them tomorrow though i am home at lunch to check they are all ok -----to reasure me

I may go into detail how my poor girl lost her life ---I have been thinking rationally aboout some parts and feels she may of had a stroke or smething before she ended how she did when i found her as things do not add up what was on the floor and where she was-----I am now rambling so going to go for now----I have very supported and good friends at work and work with mental health so have some people round ( for theapy ) as what i have seen i no i need to talk about it ( but cant to my brother or mum) I am having to try and talk them through it which i am fiine with but the evening is hard as there are less people around hence why this message is getting longer and longer
house seems so quiet even though there are three other terriers causing havoc

Anyway thanks for listening and i am sure i will be back soon

So sorry for your loss. You are obviously very shocked atm and I am sure going over and over the scene in your head. Although you wont forget as you say it will become less sharp as the days and months pass and it seems you have some very good friends around you who will listen when and if you are ready to talk.
For now take things gently I am sure you do not need to blame yourself and if you feel talking will help there is always here which is somewhat anonamous  (sorry about spelling !)if that helps and obviously your colleagues.

All the best
RIP Phoebe

So sorry to hear about your loss and the dreadful way it has occurred.
I hope in talking to people you may be able to make some sense of it all.

Hi Emma,

So very sorry for your tragic loss under what sounds like horrible circumstances, I do kind of agree with you that maybe too much detail to those close to you is not needed, the images you are left with are haunting you so probably best not to give them to those close to you aswell.  But if you can find a colleague at work or a friend who is pretty strong please unburden yourself in talking about it it will release your tears and somehow it releases part of the image in sharing, sometimes keeping things in can be worse. You can also find pet councillors who understand what you are going through and help you to come to terms with what you saw.

Thinking of you, and RIP Phoebe. X

Hi Thanks for your messages

I have been to work again today and left the dogs for a short while though i was worried

I have had a good chat again and a cry and more with my work friends ( Most are qualifed to offer theapy anyway) One of them does theapy for traumatic things people have seen and they have offered this to me should in a week or two they are still haunting me

Managed to get some sleep last night though took a sleeping tablet to knock me out

Thanks again for your messages,

Well its a week tomorrow that I lost my darling sweet girl

Its as your im sure aware and agree very hard, being at home its so quiet even though i Have 3 other dogs to keep me on my toes

I hate going into the kitchen where i found her and also coming home ...one because she is not here and she used to make so much noise when she saw me and two dreading that the other dogs have come to some harm

I am hopefully going to the vets tomorrow to collect her ashes and at least she will be back home with us!!

I miss her dearly and how she left us is something no dog or owner should have see

I have to keep telling myself that some one said on here to me which has helped (thankyou) " dont weep because i have gone, smile becasue i have been
This is something that we take so much time to get through , I hope where ever she is she is happy and doing her hound thing and enjoying running free
She was a dear dog to us as a family and also those who met her , my clients she touched and helped go through there rough patches and brought a smile to everyone who met her was her funny behaviuor ie talking and sounding like a man moaning and doing silly things ( humor ) was in her throughout her life and so much kindness to all

I could go on how special this girl was........RIP Phoebe......Look after those who have left us and run free and now you can eat all the food you want and not that nasty diet

Sorry for the long post but needd to pass this on some how
