Well just wondering do any of the ladies on here play golf and do you enjoy it...more to the point what point in the process did you get your own set of clubs..and are they ladies clubs?

From the time we lived in the middle of a Golf Course, Kazz, I can tell you - the ladies enjoy their game far more than the men do - you'd always hear someone laughing, or chuckling when the ladies played - you'd very rarely hear it when the men were playing!

One thing really tickled me ..... men only were allowed to play on Sunday mornings .....the ladies were supposed to be cooking the Sunday dinner ....although they did play on Sunday afternoons (don't know whether they were let off the washing up or not!)

I go to the driving range occasionally for a ' bucket of balls '  and enjoy that , but i don't fancy going round a course as i would find it boring . Oh , and i just use Hubby's clubs ( or sticks as i call them just to annoy him ! )
The 19th hole is meant to be the best !!!

I'm a fair weather golfer, but do go out and play occasionally with my OH. It's one of the most frustrating sports because you hit a good shot, think you can play, then try to hit the next few and it all goes horribly wrong. LAdies are actually more consistent golfers because we don't tend to have the male egos - they have to hit it as hard and as far as possible. Most ladies don't have that amount of strength so rely on technique which is the key with golf.

I do enjoy playing (most of the time), and it can be a very pleasant way to spend a few hours (depending on the weather). I'm only 5'2 so have a ladies set of clubs, but they're only a starter set from JJB (i think). If you're a more "normal" height then you should be able to use mens clubs.

I've been talking about starting as live right oppostie our golf course,
It would be fine for me to learn there as they charge the normal rate for lessons but as for membership, its the most expensive pleace in our area
So no i won't be playing there. its all full of men, never see women on the course.

I think that's why ladies are "banned" on Sat and Sun mornings on most courses, they do tend to cause "traffic jams".

My mum is a very keen golfer and often plays 3 or 4 times a week.  For her it seems to be the social side of it as much as the game that's important, she plays with a group of retired people and will often go out for lunch etc after a game. She enjoys it because they have a good laugh.

She started off by borrowing some clubs and then once she got into it started buying her own IIRC she started with a basic set of ladies clubs and has been upgrading them ever since :)   They are ladies clubs
