Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I had an email today from someone who took on a rescue Airedale earlier this year.  They have seen photos of my youngest on our website and thought she looked very like their new addition, who they were told by the rescue was born the same month as ours and that is pretty much all they know.

I am pretty certain he isn't from the same litter as our girlie as we are close friends with her breeder who kept her brother, and email/see 3 of the remaining 4 littermates, but is there any way of looking up other litters born that month to try and help her research where her new boy may have come from?

The original owner died, the dog ended up in rescue kennels and had been passed around 5 homes before they rehomed him where he is settling and now doing well.

Thanks,

K

You can ask for the BRS from the kennel club for around that period, and trawl through the pages for breeders around that time period or if you know the previous owners name you can also find the transfer of ownership which is also shown in the BRS. :-)

Thanks Carrington, there shouldn't be many litters so should be quite easy to find any likely breeders for her to contact to find out a bit more about her new boy.  Hopefully the breeder will be pleased to know he has found himself a great new home, albeit it after a shaky few months of upheaval.
