Anyone know of any budget places to stay near to the Bath showground? I am loathe to go back to Travelodge because of their ridicuous charges for dogs but even so with my OH having MS he finds travelling to a show and going home on the same day very hard so its better if we stay near to a showground the night before, any ideas anyone?

How far out of Bath are you thinking? I only ask this as other motorway services have different hotels whch may be worth a look if you are happy for 1/2hr - 1hr drive the day of the show..

You could try the welcome break at Micheal wood services, they dont charge extra for dogs, , they are sitiuated on the m5 south, approx 40 mins from the showground.  I think the hotel is called DAYS INN
