I am hoping to mate Esme at her next season, which, if all goes to plan, will be about October/November time. The thing is her vaccination is due at about the same time and I am not sure if it is OK to vaccinate a bitch that will be mated, or has been mated and may be pregnant?

Any advice welcomed.

Get your vets opinion, because it does vary on where you live and the specific risk in your area ........I mated my bitch in feb (now have beautiful pups) and brought her vacination forward 6 weeks and vacinated her at christmas .... so 2 months passed between vacination and mating.    .....   good luck

I would do the same as West., bring it forward.

Yes bring it forward, abit early wont make any difference and if anything it should be more beneficial to the pups in the long run.

I had this situation last year, and had had no chance to vaccinate the bitch before she was ready to be mated due to having been abroad when she came into season. I spoke to my vet, he looked up a lot of the vaccine manufacturer's data and said it should be fine to vaccinate her in season even though she had been mated. So she ended up being mated one day, vaccinated the next, mated the third day, and went on to have ten puppies all perfectly healthy.

Last year one of my girls had her booster on day 2 of her season.  I did tell the vet that she would be mated this time around, and he said well the pups will have lots of antibodies then!  She was mated on days 8 & 10, and produced a healthy litter.
