We have a French exchange girl with us this week and my daughter goes back to France with her next friday.
We will send her host family a gift and not too sure what.
Our French girl brought what I had hoped to send....eats.(Calvados too)
Is this still okay do you all think, or would it seem like copying?

Yes it is ok to send a present over. We got some traditional food stuffs from around here (Cotswolds). I also sent our exchange girl back with some local ales for her dad as well as she mentioned he had never tried traditional english beer !
