Has anyone used this food, and if so, what do you think of it? Its potato and salmon based and is just kibble instead of a mixture of flakes and things as in some of the other Vitalin I've used in the past, and I'm looking to start using something to help one of my dogs lose some excess pounds, just wondering what other peeps experiences were with it.

I used  Vitalin for a couple of months years ago..we used to get what we called vitalin soup out the other end :0 :0  so stopped..never fancied it after that, oh and it was all the dogs suffered not just one.

I had similar experience years ago when I fed it to my Gsd.

I have been using this Vitalin for my older dogs for about 12 months now. They are all looking great on it and it suits my greyhound x saluki very well. He has an auto immune disease which affects his nails and since being on this food he has had virtually no problems with the nail separating from the quick. Our vet said that a hypo allergenic food has been known to help with this disease and is very impressed at how well Jamie is doing and that he has not needed treatment for about 10 months now.
The other 3 dogs that are on it are all maintaining a good weight, have good coats etc so I am happy with Vitalin. My younger dogs have the Vitalin Lamb and Rice and they are doing very well on that one too.
