dont know if anyone can help me but i'll give it a go :) doe sanyone know of any stain removing shampoos? i have tryed all the shampoos for white coats, you know the ones that make it brighter and things but i cant find anything to help remove stains. my 6months old ess pup is constantly in at things and no matter how much i clean him he seems to be getting staining, particularly between the toes, hocks and chest. he has just started showing and next to the other dogs he looks awful. its really embarassing. any help??? :)

I know the whitening shampoos didn't work for me.
I did have something from a natural remedy dog stand(name isn't springing to mind)
Also funnily enough i found that imperial leather soap works really really well on the white bits, well on my dog it does..

I like Chris Christiansen White On White its really good for whites. Is he/she a kennel dog? If the staining is between his toes then I would check for mites etc. Hope this helps.

i must admit i don't use dogs shampoo for stains on white dogs i use horse or cattle shampoo, much stronger for whites as it needs to shift urine and grass stains ,always works for me.

Ooh can you PM me with the brand and type of shampoo. We may have some on our farm in the fact we have horses and cattle. Would be interested to see the results on my boys white bits.  Ta

Not sure if it's the same one, but a while ago a friend used Gallop Stain Removing Shampoo (for horses) to remove stains off her golden and it worked really well. Available online from http://www.robinsons-uk.com/products/search.asp?keyword=gallop+shampoo#sku.62052.

Thanks for that Goldie mad.  :-)

I don't actually need it at the moment, but saved it - never know when it will come in handy.  Great place for tips is CD!  :-)

What does he eat?  Discolouration between the toes and staining from saliva on the chest and possibly licking the hock joints can be related to food.

I (foolishly) fed my usually pristine white footed Collie with a dry complete food while I was travelling last month and within 10 days her feet were 'rusty'.  Now we are home and she's back on her raw/home cooked food, her feet are white again. :)
