You guys sorted me out last tiem. Hope you can help.
I unplugged the visioneer scanner a week ago to plug in the sans disk for photos. (Not enough ports for both). Yesterday I plugged scanner back in and now when I click on twain button to scan it says:
Scanner not found. Please check following
1)Power adaptor plugged into scanner adaptor
2)USb cable is properly connected with scanner and pc
3)USB setting is enable in bios.
I have definitely checked the first two. Did not quite understand 3. I have also tried reinstalling scanner with no luck.
Any suggestions please
Sue

Hi Sue, you get into the BIOS from the boot up screen by hitting a key or series of keys (your motherboard manual will tell you what key(s) to press). But if your scanner was working before and your Sandisk is now that won't be the problem.
Have you tried uninstalling the previous scanner files and then reinstalling? Also (if you are using windows) have you tried 'install new device' from Control Panel?
PS once you get the scanner going again, think of getting yourself a USB hub so that you can keep all your USB devices plugged in at the same time.

Thanks Sharon
I tried the install new device thing and it worked. For some reason the driver was not installed. I really appreciate the help. I spent an hour fiddling before I posted and you sorted it in secs. What a wonderful site this is!!!:)

Totally agree with Sharon about getting a USB hub, they are not dear and save the sort of problems you have encountered, I use one for my scanner. One thing you should be careful of though is that your scanner does not take it's power from the USB connection ( if it has a mains plug you plug into a wall socket your ok) as many USB hubs are current limited and may not work. :)
