I no Tiva has cateracts in her one eye- but it has gotten a lil worse now where its white its all red and of course her pupil is cloudy blue sorta which it has always been. It was gunky a bit so I put the drops in her eye that were given to me before which I no will take a couple days to take effect.

She is now squinting and rubs her eye alot- I have made a vet app and the soonest I can get her in is on friday 24th- also gonna do her anual booster as well- she's not due for that till July but was told I can do it now- thank goodness because just a check cost as much as the shots so would rather bring her in for shots. She also told me if the vet feels she's in good enough health then she will get her booster- she's will be 11yrs old in June- I have been told Boston Terriers life expectancy is 9-15yrs, guess that all depends on the dog and how the owner looks after them- most people I have talked to lost theirs between 9-11yrs of age. Tiva's mom died at 9yrs old so am glad we still have our girl, think her dad lived till about 10 or so.

Any idea what could be up with her eye?

She is still eating fine, will run after the ball so still active, but just started pawing at it lastnight unless its itchy. Just don't get why its all red and it kinda looked inflamed unless it being cloudy gives it that appearance.

I would definitely have her at the vets to be sure, but it is the tree pollen season.  My old girl's eyes used to get itchy and red when the cherry trees bloom.  We had one in the back garden, and when we cut it down, the problem stopped.

Agree with Vanhalla Whstlr gets awful (eye bogies) this time of year, clear as abell for the rest of the year but really sticky and snotty eyes now the cherry blossom is out may be irritation rather than anything much else but goo you are checking it out.

Yup will have her at the vets by the 24th after work- its only her one eye that is bad- her other one seems totally fine. The drops seem to be helping with the eye goo so thats good- guess just wait and see.

I would see what the vet says..

Glaucoma ..is also something that can be  the cause of red (whites ) of the eye..so best to see your vet to at least rule it out
