Topic Dog Boards / General / short break, 3 kids, 2 dogs ????
- By loucon [gb] Date 07.04.09 21:47 UTC
Hi, looking for a short break away, change of scenery will do us all good, not expensive and somewhere we can take the 2 cav's with us. Has anyone got any suggestions, or been anywhere that might be nice and non too expensive ???

Where were you thinking?  I sent an email to Torquay Tourist Board a couple of years ago, told them what I needed, and they found me a super place.  The owner died, and it's no longer available, but I have to say that the people dealing with my enquiry were extremely helpful, I couldn't speak highly enough of them.

Don't mind where to be honest, as a change is as good as a rest as they say, and just need a short break away with me, hubby, 3 kids and the 2 cav's. Open to suggestions for places people have been and found nice and are dog friendly

Don't know where you are, but Grove Cottages have some beyoootiful places and think there are only a few that don't take dogs.

(I'm currently lusting after a long weekend in "Queenie's", as they send emails through when they add new ones ... or maybe the Tea Caddy one ... or ... or ...)

Centre Parks and Hoseasons both take dogs.  Hoseasons do cottages, static caravans and narrow boats, you might get a last minute deal at a good price.  Centre Parks are a bit pricey though.

If you fancy Scotland, lots of lovely scenery & dog walks then Invercauld Lodges is the place for you.  If you do decide to book, quote 'The Cats Hotel' when you do so & you'll get a 20% discount!

Thanks for that. And yes Hubby really fancies Scotland, always sort of been to The Lakes and surrounding areas, and Wales etc with the kids and dogs, but Hubby has mentioned Scotland so will have a look at that thanks
