Hi,
I'm afraid you need to go back to basics and start training again at home.
practise using a word when he comes to you, i use the word 'come'. i practise all the time to re-enforce the word ie i call my dogs in the house and garden and as they move towards me i say the word, then they get a treat for it. i always carry treats in my pocket so i can practise this but don't always give a treat once they learn the word else they'll only come for food. Never get cross else they will ignore you. say the word in a happy voice.
When i let my dogs off the lead when out i give them a treat first so they know what i've got for them when i call them back.
You need to make coming back to you worth while and fun ie a treat or favourite toy which they only get when they are off the lead so their not bored of the same things.
Maybe worth seeing if you've got a training course near you, then you can practise with other dogs and people around in a safe place.
i wouldn't let my dogs off the lead until their recall was good, go out with a long lead and practise calling him back even if he's only a few feet in front of you then reward.
There really is no quick fix you just need to practise alot and not move forward until your confident your dog is under control.
Good luck i'm sure your get their in the end just take your time with training.
