I get my Dopram from the same place as newfiedreams. I have often thrown them out, unopened and out of date, but it's £12 worth spent when you do need them!
You will find several rehydration therapies on the same site. I have Lectade in at the moment, but have used others.

I usually get my DV drops from the above too, I use warm goats milk and some honey to rehydrate my bitch after giving birth, or Lectade is a good option too, but mine prefer Water.

Yes I also get my Dopram and lectade from hyperdrug. As well as just about everything else medicine/whelping wise too, its a great company, always quick to dispatch and good prices too. (However to rehydrate the bitch I just use glucose powder in the water, and offer watery lactol too)
I also usually end up ditching the Dopram, but you never know when you may need to use it, so I always buy it to put in the whelping kit.

Isn't that just the way! I usually consign mine to the bin afterwards as never used yet! But better to be safe than sorry!

i have some dopram i dont need if you want it.
Thanks ever so much for all your replies... I've ordered a catalogue from hyperdrug as they seem to be a popular company... on another note, who here gives their bitches calcium supplement post-whelping or what is the general feeling amongst breeders as I'm getting conflicting views... i.e.... if once the bitch has started labour... Any views welcome! :o)
ps. I've sent you a pm sam :o)
i used calcium tabs with my other bitch she had alot of pups but this time i didnt need them shes been ok .
Yes it seems some people give them calcium as par-of-the-course... whereas others - only if they need it. I've never needed to before, I'm just (hopefully) having a litter from a different breed this time... Is liquid or tablet form generally the easiest/best to use?

To be honest I wouldn't give calcium at all, unless there were signs it was needed...if it's needed and you have calcium solution, it is very fast acting so as you are observing constantly anyway, you would know if it was needed or not? HTH ;-)
Hi Newfiedreams... yes, that has always been my opinion and when I said that to my girl's breeder (I'm breeding from a new breed to my norm) she was totally shocked that I didn't give it to all my bitches and said I'd been really lucky! She's just got me worried that perhaps some breeds are more prone to problems than others...
