hi everyone i've only just joined champdogs after going through its pages, mainly because I read about a man in Falkirk who scans at his farm and would like to take my bitch there sometime soon. So if any one can help I'll look back here tomorow. Thanks all

Hi Lovabull  My bitch has just given birth to 7 gorgeous pups five girls & two boys. I think you are wasting your money getting your dog scanned. It is very raely they get it right. I had my two bitches scanned last time they were in pup and was told one was having three, she had six and the other was five, she had seven.

Maybe she just wants pregnancy confirmed and to make sure there is more than one as complications can arise with a singleton.

Yes I only use the scanner to confirm a pregnancy, and to see if theres just a singleton. I think most people would take the numbers side of it with a pinch of salt, but to know if your girls definately carrying is reasuring.

thanx Rona vets are notoriouse for getting it wrong my friend was told 4 to 6 and delivered 13. It would be nice to know if there was a big litter ( more than 8) but I must admit its more to do with the exitment of it all that I want the scan
