It sounds like it could very well be the goats milk..
Does mum like warm tea?
I used to make Emma a bowl of warm tea, (2 teabags in 2lts of water, and just enough milk to colour).. This was all she drank for around 2weeks after pups were born (both litters).. Also.. she would not drink it cold.. it needed to be luke warm at minimum..
ive never tried tea with her ill do it now thanku xx
i still give my mum evoprated milk watered down and pups are doing well no runs and chunking up lovely
lillymum she drank itfor aday and that was it :( xx
awww dear what about sugar water.
hope she impoves soon and pups runs clear up :)

Honeyed water ?

try her with it really cold
she looks at me in disbeive and walks off :( ...pups are putting on 100g aday ,i feel this isnt enough ,is it time i started givin them something eles or should i just wait till its time to wean in a weeks time ....GGGGGGGGGGGGGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i could scream its so worring :(

Have you tried something like chicken broth? Just boil up the chicken bones (DON'T FEED THESE) and drain off the liquid.

White Lilly, I can feel your tension and worries.. my pups are just a day older than yours..
If they are gaining weight on a daily basis, they are doing fine.. at 2 weeks, there tummies are still not ready for anything more than mums milk, I would only become really concerned if they were losing or not gaining weight.. My last 3 litters needed complete intervention.. I bottle fed 10pups on one litter, I had to give a top up feed twice a day on another litter, and hand reared 11 pups on another.. This litter is driving me nuts, because mum needs no intervention whatsoever.. she is not eating dog/puppy food, so I am simply feeding her anything she will eat.. and will continue with her demands until I wean the pups.. then I will allow her to leave food if she wants.. In fact she hasnt eaten dog/puppy food since 2days before pups were born.. but pups are gaining weight.. and doing well.. I stopped the daily weigh in years ago.. I can feel and see how well they are doing without the panic inducing weigh in lol..
I think you got such a fright when the pups began having tummy problems .. we all do.. its only a few more days.. once they get to 3 weeks, I begin trying with a little steak, scrape with a knife and let them lick the scrapings/pulp from your fingers.. and if absolutely neccessary, you can begin to give them a little Lactol/welpi to lap..
You are doing well, you will get there,
I think 100g a day is a good weight to gain.. thats just under a kilo per week..
pupshave just been feed and r still cryin ...help
i think the prob is mum isnt stayin with them long enough for them to be full ,ive put the pups back on her and they are going mad and cryin still ??

White Lilly, how long is mum staying in with pups.. is she spending enough time feeding them.. or is she just going in.. allowing them a comfort suckle and leaving them unsatisfied?
This happened to me on one of my litters.. I used to sit in with mum while she was feeding, it helped he stay with them longer, and I did a top up bottle feed at night, so that pups could at least go all night without mum going in (which she didnt) if I wasnt with her..
Although at 2 weeks old, it might be difficult to get pups to feed from a bottle, at this age, they would be more reluctant to take from it..
I would try sitting in with mum.. in the hopes that she would stay a little longer with them..
kay if i dont sit with her shes in for about 5/10mins and when i do shes up and wanting to get out after 15mins ,if i sit with her she not clean them ?? so ill sit with her and clean them after or try and get her to do it xx

You cant really force her to stay in with them, so if you can.. try and get her to go in more often, and sit with her.. at least they will have that extra 5mins. if you can do that possibly 6 times during the day.. thats an extra half hour they get with her.. little and often is better than a forced extended stay..
have you checked claws? are teeth beginning to come through?
much better if mum cleans them.. but I would rather her feed and me do the cleaning, than her cleaning and not feeding..
yes kay i agree her feeding me cleaniong :) .....no teeth yet but nails are ready id 4got about them :(:( god how stupid ,thanks love xx

Don't be so hard on yourself woman! That's why people like Kay are an invaluable resource for these boards! I can only echo what everyone has said. Just encourage her and I think 100g is a good weight to put on, honest! Good luck x

Mine wont take anything cold or room temperature for a few weeks they like it quite warm. I would not introduce too much to her though especially if your pups are running. From the beginning a use warm water with a small splash of skimmed milk. ( same calcium without the upset tummies)
Good luck

Dont be so hard on yourself..
I know you have a lot of things going on at the moment.. and life is completely upside down.. try and take a deep breath.. just another few days..
How is the poo now? If that is clearing up a little pups should begin to gain more weight.. but I would still be reasonably happy with the 100gms..
Is mum drinking yet.. will she eat ice cubes?
ive weighed them and thay have put on 146g .....152g.....116g.....126g and since dinner no more runs :) ,,mum as drank 1and half pints of water today ,ive got to clam down now or im going to have a heart atack !!

EXACTLY!!!!! ;-)

soothing thoughts, they seem to be doing fine so chill

Those are excellent weight gains White Lilly :-) lets hope that runs have now cleared.. and you can enjoy being with pups rather than worrying over them..
Good to hear mum is drinking some.. 1.5pints is not too bad..
Seems like keeping her off the milk (goats or otherwise) is helping with puppies poo probs..
you are doing a great job.. its very difficult not to worry about them ;-)
Hi kay, mum is feeding them well today she as drank a good amont of water , ive stayed with her when she feeds them and shes gave them good feeds :) ,ive not seen any of them have the runs :) ,thanku for all your help :)
