> shelled them like peas out of a pod on the due date & in record time(less than an hour & a half for 7 puppies for each litter)

goodness, wouldn't it be nice if they all were like that :)

The fastest I ever saw was a great dane without word of a lie she had  one little stillborn bitch and then six dog pups straught after the other 3 fawn 3 black and all done and dried in forty minutes.
I couldn,t catch them quick enough it was like niagra falls .
A maiden bitch as well and all lovely strong puppies.

GSDs are a pain in the rear. Usually take their time from 24 hours upwards, mine slept between every puppy

here we are at last...PHEW!

4 boys (for Moonmaiden 3 slate 1 brown) 2 girls (both brown) all weight 12oz bar 1 which was 9oz never had them all practically weight the same.

What a day/night we have had, Mum water broke had a few contractions then everything stopped so ended up at the vets had a scan , she was dilated so they gave her oxytocin , a blanket for the floor and two chairs and we waited for her to deliver which she did in half an hour then we left , she then had another in the car on the way home 15min drive ..got home two puppies she ran into her whelp box and then delivered two more in quick succession luckily my friend and hubby on hand .
We then waited over 2 hours as I knew she had more babies to come I rang  vets as contractons nce again stopped so returned and saw MY OWN vet who specialises in Reproduction went mad that she was gven oxytocin said she would have delivered naturally ordered me to take her home and let her have her babies ...he was exactly right she delivered the next two with a few hours between them ...just wish he had been on duty.

So here we are on puppy watch ..unfortuanately she ate some of the placentas so we have had a delightful bowel delivery!!OOPS but I know it is really doing her well.
She has eaten had fish and Arden lots of lactol and water  and fresh water , now she is trying to get some ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ likely story!

thanks for everyones enquiry.
