I wonder if i could ask for some advice. I had my girl (giant breed) studded and they tied on the 11th day and the 14th day. She always bleeds for the full 21 days and never runs to straw coloured, but she flagged him both days and they acheived a tie, she is now on day 23 and stopped bleeding a few days ago (which is early for her) but has developed a small amount of greenish discharge. she seems well enough in herself (maybe not quite as enthusiastic about her food), but just to be safe I am taking her to the vets tomorrow, is it ok for her to take AB's if she is potentially is pregnant, and if so which ones would you recommend? Does anyone have any idea what it may be?

synulox or noroclav (same thing just different trade name) are both safe in pregnancy, my girl was on them for the first 3 weeks and went on to whelp 7 healthy puppies.

My girl had got pyometra on her previous mating attempt and missed on the attempt previous to that so my vet recommened a course of AB's from start of season and up to 3 weeks after last mating to ensure no infection took hold, we really didnt think she would concieve but gave a third and what was to be our final attempt and hey presto - healthy pregnancy and healthy babies!

Yes it's a worry from the matings right down to the puppies finding their new families, but if we didnt worry we wouldnt care!
