Really busy day today, up at 6.30am, got loads to do, walked the pooches, had to wait for the old chap Shandy, he can only manage the 'Shandy Shuffle'. Bonnie does the 'Bonnie bomb, Isla does the 'I can't stop now' Tessa and Rosie do the 'we'll trot like ladies' and Skye does the 'bark bark bark it's a bird I must chase it'.

Anyway after that it's tea and toast when we get back plus a quick bit of brekky for the dogs once they've cooled down.

Then up to the garden, put the chooks out in their run, feed them their mash and stuff and get stuff ready to go to the tip. Off we go in the wagon loaded up with a dead microwave, garden refuse and a weeks worth of household rubbish cos our bin men didn't turn up on Thurs :(

On the way to the tip I text my sister, have mobile phone will travel :-D  Finish texting and arrive at tip, get rid of junk, jump into car and make way back home.

On the way back say to OH oh fluff where's my phone, realise I've lost it at tip, then get all upset cos it's got pics and videos of my children, my sweet little grandson, when pups were tiny babes, when old rescue chap met the girls, when OH got his Harley all stuff you can't replace, the phone itself is worth 'B' all and it only had a few quid credit on it but I was really upset :(

Said to OH can we go back he said don't be stupid it's either been crushed by a car driving over it or somebody has picked it up, you'll not see that again unless it's been picked up by an honest sort. Got home, kettle on and feeling really annoyed with myself and upset, landline phone rings and WOW it's a young girl that's been to the tip, pulled into the slot that we left and she saw my phone on the ground. She went through my contacts saw 'Home' and rung us.

We went to fetch the phone, it was not the best part of town where we had to go, a skinny little lass about 18 came to the door, OH tried to give her a tenner and she wouldn't take it, he grabbed her hand stuffed the note into it and said take the money the phone is worthless but the pictures and videos are priceless, gave her a peck on the cheek and we both said a big fat thank-you. :)

So even in the 'not the best part of town' places there does live 'the best type of people' :-D  and I'm a very happy bunny cos I've got my pics and videos back. Now I really must learn to look after my phone and also to download the pics and videos on to the PC

Such is life...I meet the salt of the earth in Liverpool, but also the scum of the earth on occassion! Most are salt, but the scum tends to overide it! There is hope for the World!

It's nice to be reminded that there are some good people out there! I have found 5 mobile phones since getting Storm... must be all the walking looking at the ground to avoid dog poo! I just hope that I now have good phone karma if I ever lose my own :-P I did find $5 at the beach the other day too... woo hooo!

What a lovely story, thank you for sharing it. There are LOTS AND LOTS of genuinely lovely people who do nice things simply becuase thats the way they are and the way they were brought up. Sadly in this day and age the minority of nasties take over & the media scare us into thinking the majority is like it when we know thats not the case

Isn't it terribly rough and noisey where you live mahonc? Do you get a lot of trouble up there? I bet you're glad you've got Danes to keep the baddies out! Have you got a big garden? It doesn't look very big? I just wondered where you walked them? Is there a Park close?
