Well here we are due date (normally goes day before) been up for a week thought last night she was starting  then 5am she decided she would rather go lie in the hall and sleep! So I am lying on a bed in the whelp room hubby asleep on the sofa and Mum to be is snoring in the hall....will keep you posted!

Oh I love the excitement and nervousness the imminent arrival of a litter brings - my girl is only 2 weeks since mating but I have a good feeling!

I have one doing the same. Got me up at 4,30am with frantic digging and panting, then settled down and did a bit more. Now fast asleep in her whelping box, and i'm bored stiff!!!!!! i hope she gets her butt into gear soon!!!!!!!

Have to say hubby is helpful we do shifts depending on his work hours. He is sitting here at the moment rubbing her belly while she licks his arms (its- a-love-thing )Arrr...

She is pantng heavily ,licking herself and has climbed onto my bed (which is covered with plastic and towels)   she has had her first on the bed then moves to the whelp box in the past......so fingers crossed.

my girl had 4 pups this morning, all healthy, was a quick and easy birth for her first litter i am glad to report. I hope yours goes just as well!

I hope that the reason Roni hasn't been on here with an update is that she is too busy with her newest babies

still no puppies....

I am hoping you havent been on all day as you are busy delivering puppies, hope all is well :)

still no puppies , been onto vet earlier today she is not concerned at the moment ,we are moving on but the waiting is horrendous ..I have had a couple of hours sleep while hubby sat with her ..now he is having a rest, hoping for movement within the next few hours or will have to consider options.

Just checking in for morning news???

Hope your girl did something during the night. We ended up having a c section saturday afternoon as my girl was in the first stages for 36 hours and not progressing at all. It seems she had inertia in the end as she was so big. Good job we went when we did as the vet said placentas were just hanging on and the pups were all green and limp. luckily we only lost one and mom and 8 babies are all doing well now. i know what you are going through and its just horrendous watching them panting and digging and nothing else happening. Hope it works out naturally for your girl.

This is worse than waiting for my own puppies as my bitches of the same breed shelled them like peas out of a pod on the due date & in record time(less than an hour & a half for 7 puppies for each litter)

blimey! she obviously had enough of carrying them around!!
