CARIAD for a little girl. Cariad is the Welsh word for Love,,,,

all lovely suggestions. shes in work later so will show her :)

2 of my friends have just had babies. One called her little girl
Eva which I love as it is unusual without being too whacky and the other caled his daughter
Isla which I also like!!! Or she could follow someone with really good taste and call her
Anna like my daughter!!!:-D

lol i've plugged for all three of those already, afraid not :(
My granddaughter is called Elise, not a name I had heard of. Apparently she is named after the car, the Lotus Elise

;-)

Is she trying to say I have bad taste?!!!! LMAO!!!! :-D

lol, no she liked them all but isn't sure about anything really. shes getting a bit overwhelmed with the decision and is worried about giving the baba a terrible life if she gives her the wrong name lol

There are some very pretty-but-unusual names in Shakespeare's plays. Perhaps she might like
one of these? (Steer her away from 'Volumnia'!)

thats a really good idea, i'll pass it on :)

My daughter is called Carrera, after the Porche Carrera, when she is 21 (another 4 1/2 years) she is expecting one for her birthday, her dad will be buying that I hasten to add.

The best thing I did when I had Anna was get a group of names together...then when she was born she wasn't any of them!!!!! I had never even considered Anna, not sure where it came from. So when she has the baby she will probably know what to call her, she will be an Anna or a Charlotte or any name lol!!

lucky her! nice dad!

> My daughter is called Carrera, after the Porche Carrera
I hope you will take it in good part :-) if I tell you my little sister used to go out with a boy called Ford. My Dad used to say "thank goodness he wasn't conceived in a Voltswagen" :-o
I know a lad who is called 'Leyland' after the Motor company. They shorten it to 'Ley'!! (Pronounced 'Lay', Not Lee)

No problem at all, Carrera loves her name, mainly because she doesn't know anybody else with her name and it does suit her, I will try and add her to my photo bucket so you can see how lovely she is, she is half Italian and everybody comments what a lovely name she has. I am just glad she was a girl when she was born as her dad wanted to name a boy after one of the three muskateers....

athos is a nice name :)

how about Grace, i name i have always loved.

I love the name Emma :-) & Paige
Iseballa, Kiena, Lacey, Keana, Tatyana, Orion, Willow, Mya, SueAnne

If I remember correctly is was Aramis that he wanted to call a boy, doesn't really flow off the tongue to well, so I was glad when she was born that she was a girl. I have added a couple of pictures of her to my photo-bucket.
Jane
How about Ruby or Delilah?? I like those names for girls.
I liked the name Joanna for my daughter but thought it will be immediatley shortened to Jo so called her Rohanna instead and now all her friends call her Ro !!!!

poppy
daisy
lottie
vertiy

Lydia, thinking about it when I was on the way to work earlier and a young girl came on with her dad and she was called Lydia. Eleanor does seem very in at the moment, Eli for short, but I hate names being shortened. I'm Diane, never, ever Di !!

When I was at school my best friend was Joanne ( there were several in our class) but her sister a year older was called Priah. She hated the fact that her sister had an unusual name name whilst she had a common one.
I was determined to give my children different names. When I had my son there were five boys named James and four named Daniel on our ward.
My daughter is called Elkie and when she moans I say at least they don't have to say which Elkie like they do with her friends Emma, Laura etc .

well you win paula! baby anna was born this morning, 7lbs 6 :)
so pleased for michelle, she has a heart condition that could have been passed on, at first glance it is obvious because sufferers are very tall and thin, but thats a good weight so hopefully Anna should be fine :)
Anyway, babies are always nice to hear about and thought you'd maybe like the update.

My friend has just called her little girl Caitlyn (slightly different spelling - but a lovely name!) I have another friend with an Amelia!
I like Daisy, Harriet, Florence and Delilah. My friend is due to give birth in 5 weeks and she doesn't know what she's having, but she thinks it's a girl and if it is, she's going to call her Mia.
Congratulations on baby Anna, nice traditional solid name. My middle name is Anne and i can remember as a child telling people it was Anna cos i thought that was a much nicerf name, lol
