Just a quicky.

Which poo bags/nappy sacks do you find are the best as now Khan is growing so are his poos! In the garden we just use blue roll and put it in the dog loo (still not sure if this works mind!).
But when we're out and about it's sometimes a little tricky to successfully contain all the poo in one grab - I'm always getting a little messy even with the solid ones! So I just wondered how those of you with really large breeds manage! At the moment we use tesco value nappy sacks but I'm prepared to spend a bit more if there are any that are a bit wider.

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

we get them from the local council offices, they are strong, pretty large and best of all FREE.not sure if all council/rent offices do this or not, maybe worth asking next time you pass.

we are using the pets at home ones for chihuahua and great dane poos

But the dane is only 15 wks tomorrow but have noticed the poos are getting bigger but so far the bags are plently big enough

I use biodegradable nappy sacks generally but have to say the ones i picked up from our local council which are free are large enough and also very strong too..AND like another has said FREEEE!!!

hmmmmmmm interesting.... bet our council don't supply free poo bags! but will find out!

Me too, our local council give us free poo bags (but no bins to put them in) - I brought my last lot of poo bags from Ikea in the little pet section they have, they were like mini bin bags and super strong. Now I am just using cheap ones from the pound shop - I use to re-use my carrier bags from food shopping but we don't get them anymore !!!

We get free ones too. Worth asking, lots of people don,t know about this.

yes we get free ones to from the library of all places. i dont use them as i prefer the little bone which clips on my lead and is filled with a roll of bags. i have two small dogs so size is not a issue.

I liked the nappy sacks that I used to get in Somerfield, their own make in a purple box but haven't been able to get them lately. I'm using Boots nappy sacks but the seam along the bottom isn't quite as strong as the Somerfield ones so I usually carry a few with me so I can double bag if need be. :-(

happy sacks from any where I can get them cheap. Even sainsburys basics although sometimes you need to double bag as they are not that strong but at under 50p per roll who cares

oh my i am glad i have a smallish dog with reasonably small poos. It had never crossed my mind that some bags arent good enough for bigger dumps :-)
I buy the cheparest of the cheap tesco own poo bags.

I buy these biodegradable bags.  Bit more expensive than nappy sacks but I like the fact that they biodegrade rather then lying in landfill forever and a day.

Thank goodness I have small dogs!! I use the Pedigree bags, more expensive than some but worth it imho just for being totally opaque! I know the stuff needs picking up and carrying to a bin, but I don't want to be able to see it!

I use Wilkinsons nappy bags, the ones in the blue box.  Good size, strong and cheap :)

I use Tesco own brand nappy sacks, they are about 15p for 100, scented and great for small poo's (small - med breeds!!) :-) :-) :-)

Our pound shop has started selling 280 for a quid. So I now buy them at Morrisons, 300 for 98p :-D

I just got some scented ones from Pets at Home, they were buy one get one free (this was a couple of weeks ago so offer might still be on) - Megan did quite a big poo yesterday and it was pretty good at holding it all - and smelt a lot better than normal poo bags too!
