Hi,
Does anyone know of a salmon and potato or any fish and potato good quality wet food. As part of one of my youngests diet I use Nature diet Salmon sensitive, however she now allergic to rice as well as a big long list of other things. I can't understand why they put rice in that one anyway when they already have the potato carb source in there, especially as more and more dogs are becoming sensitised to rice! She is on part raw any way and I may just end up doing it all myself but just wandered for times of convenience if anyone knows of anything?
Thanks :-)

Chicken potato and veg.
Thank you, just had a look and the salmon and chicken one does have rice, there are a couple without rice but she can't have the other things in it. Thankyou though as I disn't know they did those and have a couple of clients that they will be of use to :-)
Hi
I have a terrier who is presently on a diet trial with salmon and potato due to skin allergies. We are lucky enough to be under the care of an excellent dermatologist. I fed him dry salmon and potato commercial dog food but he hated it dry or even with warm water! The dermatologist suggested tinned salmon (I was concerned because of the added salt). The dermatologist said dogs dont react to salt and get hypertension like humans so it would be perfectly fine. I also can give him fresh potato at times, I usually buy the cheaper pink salmon which he really enjoys and is nice and wet for him. I mix it all up with the dry commercial food and he wolfs it down! It's been good for us as Im sure he is allergic to rice also. He has just had some patch testing done and found to be allergic to dust mites and storage mites also. One thing the dermatologist told us is generally if a dog has one reaction to something they are usually allergic to something else too, hence the patch testing and I am so relieved we now know what we are dealing with.

Naturediet do a fish and potatoe available at pets at home or direct.
Thanks, the nature diet fish and potato one has rice in it as well. I've found a frozen one that I can use for now - it hums but she can eat it :-) I've not got any yet but apparently Burns has started doing just fish wet food so will try some of those, just a bit expensive at £1.50 for 410g.

http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/dogs/canned_dog_food/herrmannsHope this link works. I bought some tins of this fish & potato dog food from Zooplus but I haven't got round to trying it yet.
If the link doesn't work go onto Zooplus and go to wet dog foods and its called Herrmanns. They do an assortment of flavours and the fish one is at the bottom.

I really think the best, and probably cheapest, would be to prepare the food yourself - cooked or raw.
