hi emandee , with most litters and with 1 or 2 this size you will most lightly going to get a runt ,if  feeding well i wouldnt worry to much , just make sure they get on the back nipples and if the bigger ones knock them off try putting her on there 1st before the others wake up so she gets a good feed !! and when she starts weening she may chatch up alot ...not all the pups will be the same size from same litter ..sorry if ive missed anything ..finding it hard to read with caps on :) ....xx

it's a positive sign that she has put on some weight.  Place her on one of the back teats, at least every 2 hours, whilst removing most of the other pups to a corner of the whelping box or get the little pup feeding out of the box with just her & mum.  Also, make sure she keeps very warm, as it is easy for such a young pup to weaken.

Good Luck x

Went to the vet today she said she is ok checked her heart etc.said the same as you both to watch that she gets a teat 1st if possible & just keep an eye on her if thing dont look like its improving try feeding with welpi and a dog feeding bottle.but to be careful as they get wind & it will be painful.i am going to carry on watching them and take 7 of them out so the smallest 1 of them all get a good feed on the back teat for about 45 mins then put the rest back.thanks for your concern I appreciate it as i was so worried about her they are so lovely xx

iknow i bred one of my other bitches about 5 yrs ago she had 1 so big never seen anything like it which she lost & another through the deliveries that one ended up with 4 out of 6 puppies in her litter so i do know the heartache it causes.never mind thats in the past & these are now the important things to care for thanks anyway xx

Pleased to hear the vet has checked her out and given the all clear.  I hope she starts putting on some more weight very soon.  Good Luck x
