Hi

Millie had her pups last week ( 1 week old today ) all are gaining weight and appear to be doing well, but I have two questions

1) She has starteed diggin in one particaular place in the garden when she goes out , Any thoughts on why

2) When pups are sleeping she leaves the cage and sits outside, she goes back if any them start to cry , is this normal?

it both normal ,she could be getting after pains just like we do so thats why she may be digging , mine use to dig in there box and i would have to look for the pups under the vet bed lol .

now pups are alitte older mum dont need to be with them all the time , she doing what she should be ,if she hears them cry she runs back to them .

my dog gave birth 8 days ago she does the same digs under my bed and in the garden this is just her womb contracting back

she also leave the pups from time to time and returns when they cry,,, all normal.
