Show is not till Saturday but my stomach is turning already.  Why ?  I don't know other than I have a new Phalene pup Ayla showing for the first time.  Been showing for 13 years now and have handled plenty of different breeds for other people and still show on a regular basis with my own dogs but the anticipation is actually making me feel sick.  Couldn't eat my tea tonight and that is just not me, my OH thinks I'm going down with a bug :) AAAAHHHHHHHHH can't wait to get the first one over with.  Maybe see some of you there.

I get like this with a new one. You just don't know if it is any good, and hope that it really is as good as you think :-)

Don't worry Joan, that will be me in a month when I come out with my pup Forrest.  I think we are all like that at a pups first outing and Ive been showing for 30 years (yes, I started young!!!!).  Good luck.

i'll be there with a manic ridgeback, i'll say hi if i see you (from a distance as i dont want Ayla getting squished at her first show :)  ) try not to be too nervous, im sure you and your pup will have a great day regardless of what happens.

Bit of a distance for an open show, will be at UK Toydog and then the Papillon club champ show 12th April.  I have entered 5 dogs and all of them are Phalenes.  Picking up two boys I bred on my way down that I bred so I can have a Papillon to show :)  Maybe see you at one of them?

Looking forward to Saturday now and I'm going to hide behind my champdog badge so satincollie (I met once at Working and Pastoral at Ingleston) and suz can come and meet Ayla.  Fifi has a start as she knows me anyway.  Fiona I would never have said you were a day over 30!!!!!!!!!

Well Joan, How did it go?

We had a great day :)  My boy Indy was on his toes and showed really well which helped a lot.  Ayla was a wee sweetheart, she loved meeting the other dogs large and small, people with chicken in there pockets were sniffed out at fifty paces and well she just made it all so easy.  When it was her turn for the table the hardest job was keeping her tail still (lol) and she even managed a wee kiss for the judge who was absolutely brilliant with her and the big plus he recognised her as a PHALENE  woo hoo good start in my eyes.  Anyway she wagged her way round the ring and though she didn't keep her tail over her back 100% of the time I was really pleased with her.  Now looking forward to her next show especially if she is going to be so easy going about it all.

Met Satincollie (Gillian) and her friend Shirley and enjoyed a wee bit of banter with them as well.

Thanks everyone, Fifi looking forward to meeting Maisie's boy Forrest and KAYC oh boy do I remember our first meeting your face was a picture, and I thought you quite suited the "Papillon look" :)
