Are you doing anything funny or crazy for Comic Relief this year?  I saw a few kids going to school in their pj's this morning, which made me smile!  :) :)

I've donated towards the climb those celebs did & will no doubt end up donating again tonight, for once I'm looking forward to watching it! Missed apprentice & the climd documentary last night but hoping to catch up on the i player with those!!

I saw a lady dressed as a nun in a shop today, and it suddenly twigged that its Red Nose Day today!! Like you I've also donated towards the climb - not watched the Kilimanjaro programme or The Apprentice yet as my OH's away and I've Sky plussed it so we can watch it together!!

Will be watching tonight and will probably donate tonight as well.

my two boys went to school in red clothes, all be it football kits, with sprayed red hair and red noses!
Also they had some very funny hats to wear, my youngest has a penguin hat nearly as tall as him! and my other son has a monkey hat, they both looked great this morning!

Just been to the shops and one supermarket begining with W did not have any staff dressed for comic relief, but another supermarket begining with A had very jolly staff dressed up with red wigs on and red noses!!

Just one thing, these new red noses witht he faces, my eldest son split his this morning whilst putting it on, it split near the hole is for your nose to fit in, anyhow, when we got to school nearly every child had split noses that happened by accident, so maybe they need to re-think the design and material again for these.

ive been dressed as dennis the mence all morning and sold tea and cakes at work this morning and served lunch to over 1000 people this lunchtime dressed as a clown.
Just need to get the red hair dye out now!!!
Done a quick count before i came home and we raised about 564.00 pounds so far and the girls are doing it again this evening at the dinner break.

Some of our managers (4 infact) oferd themselves to have wet sponged chucked at them.  £1 a vote, most votes gets it!

Very fun that was :-D and the manager that Won (lost) was a very good sport! :-D  Raised a fair amount of money too :)

I've just gone on to the website to make a donation, and it has various boxes for amounts to donate, the smallest of which is £25. Yes, I know I can type my amount in - and am not saying what amount I intended to donate anyway - but this really gets my back up.

I'm sure they must lose donations by people feeling embarrassed that they can't donate 'enough to make a difference', so don't bother.

I'll donate in a bit when I've stopped harrumphing LOL.

I took it as only an example of how to fill the box in.  It does say please enter your own amount :-)

Perhaps not, my employer pays my phone bill LOL.

As I say, I know you can choose your own amount, and I will - it's just the psychological effect of it that irritates me.

I enjoyed TOTP but i wish that the bands had played their best hits instead of their latest song . After all , it was for charity .
Doesn't Sir Tom look better au naturelle rather than dyed ?!!
- By Oldilocks [ch] Date 14.03.09 17:32 UTC
Yes, he does look better grey than 'boot polish' black!!! :)  :)

She does love that camera :-D  but her reporting was truly heartfelt and was probably the most moving of the night for me :-(

The "Full Monty" made me laugh though because it was so naff plus it looked like they actually hurt themselves trying to pull their posing pouches off with a flourish as they seemed to be caught on something or other  :-D

Is it just us but we thought that a lot of the comedy sketches were completely naff and unfunny. They could have been very funny if a little thought had been put into the endings of them, but we didn't think that they came up with the goods this year. In fact the ones that were on very late were just disfgusting, and believe me, we ain't prudes !!
Albeit we did donate :O)
- By Isabel Date 14.03.09 22:17 UTC
Well, they certainly were not very memorable.  Maybe I am tired but I can't really bring any to mind :-)
