Just put my affix application and cheque in the post, early first anniversary present from hubby. How long does it take to process? I have vague recollections of reading that applications are printed in the gazette and there is a set time, but I can't find the info on the KC website. On there it gives the impression that you send off and they will send straight back, but I know that doesn't happen. Anyone enlighten me? Thanks, Sam.

once they have approved your affix i seem to remember mine came fairly quickly, 2 weeks or so i think. they pre approve it and send you your certificate and then publish it in the gazette and if anyone
wants to contest the name then i think thats the lengthy process. i waited in total about 5 weeks but that is beause my names kept being rejected initially.

The KC informed me that the whole process from initial application to being granted takes approx. 7 weeks. This allows time for it to be printed and any objections to be received.
