Hello All. Please give me some of your favorite puppy names to choose from! I need to think of a name for my female yorkshire terrier. I will be getting her in about 3 weeks. I went to see her today. She is as cute as a button!!!! Shirl

Hi
My first very own dog was a Yorkshire Terrier(more years back than I care to admit to)She was very tiny with deep tan markings and the obvious name to me at least at the time was `TANNER` but it suited her .My advice is to wait until you get her and choose a name to suit her personality when you get to know her a little better.
Best Wishes
Carole

I agree with Pennyforum- wait and see what suits her- my bitch was to be called 'Sadie' until the very last minute- about two hours after I brought her home and she just wasn't a 'Sadie' so 'Kassie' it was:rolleyes:

There's a dog at my dogclass and her name is Chicklette (sp), I thought that was a cute name for a little dog. It just suited her. :) I agree on waiting this way you will get to know her. :) Enjoy your knew bundle of joy.

Hi dollface. Ohhhhhh Chicklette is sooo cute! My breeder asked me if I had a name for her yet. I told her no. She said if I thought of what I wanted to name her, let her know, and she would start calling her by name while she is still there. I thought that was so kind. So that's why I was trying to think of a name. But I agree with you that maybe I should wait until I get her home and see what she is like. Shirl

Hi
Why don't you go with a name with a sort of link i.e. *Pudding* (as in Yorkshire Pudding)?
We have a cat called Pudding - not a Yorkshire connection, a Black connection (as in Black Pudding) ;)

I had 2 people name their pups before they even got them, Dexter and the other Cleo. When they got their pups they came by name too. They just had to call me and let me know (I still get picture's so that is great), and Cleo's parents came over 2 or 3 times a week to visit and play with her ever since she was 2 weeks old so they were able to bond and came up with a name. Which I thought was good, everytime they came she knew who they were and would get really hyper.
Now they come over to visit with her so we still get to see her alot. Dexter lives out of town. I like getting all the picture's of the pup's it's nice. Some more name's Rosy, Daisy, Brie, Bunnie, Billy, Jama, Simone, So far the favorite I heard for such a tiny dog is still Chicklette, I just think it is cute. :) :) :)

Thanks everyone. I loved all your suggestions, but still have not decided. I like Pudding or what about Puddin? I really like Precious, but hubby doesn't like it. She looks like a Precious to me. I think he doesn't want anyone to hear him calling "Precious"!!!! :-) Shirl

My Terv was "pup-pup" for about a week because his breeder used to say "pup-pup-pup-pup!" to get the puppies' attention and he got used to it. He still answers to pup-pup as well as Ruso, his actual name.
