Thanks guys I think what I will do is give the kennel club a call on monday. Whenever I have pups they are always endorsed and sold with contracts stating the conditions on which they will be lifted, ie hips/elbows, and other health tests needed, and that they do the job they were intended for (gun work) if sold as a pet, it states it will never be lifted and so on. But I am going to start part training Labs for gunwork and if I buy one in as opposed to breeding myself I wanted to be able to ensure said dogs are not just bred from without relevent testing as I will feel responsible for it even though I did not breed it for the rest of its life. I have already encounted the problem with someone who wanted to know if the dog had a good pedigree because they wanted to use him on their two bitches. Obviously they got a big lecture on breeding and how it was impossible to tell if he was going to be suitable as he was only 12 months old and that it would be highly unlikely he would compliment both the bitches if either of them anyway. Seemed a nice person, just uneducated in breeding, needless to say they were turned away. But it made me think in a big way as this is a hobby I really want to pursue but I think I will worry myself sick that they will be used for breeding without health testing done. But if I can place an endorsement I will not have to worry, but I will also have to be able to remove it, it looks as though it might be possible with what you have found on the KC website SharonM (thankyou for looking), I will give them a call
Thanks again
