My cavalier had an hernia when we took her for 12 week check and injections. The vet said not to worry to much about it. 5 months on it has got bigger and harder, will she need an operation to remove it, any info would be of help. Thanks

Yes she probably will need an op but it is qiute straight forward. A small hole is cut in the mid line and the fat is pushed back in and then stitched up. If the hernia is quite large a piece of gut could have dropped into the hole, as you said it had got hard i would suspect that has happened. Best to get it checked out, if she is going to be spayed it will all be sorted out at the same time if not as and when your vet suggests. If it does not bother her there is no immediate rush but it will need to be done. Hope this helps jo
