FAO Julie aka muddy dogs
I'm being nosey and I've just read your member profile. I too glorify my housewife status, especially when faced with career women at hubbys work do's. When asked what I do, I say I manage a domestic service engineering department working strictly in house with minor supervision responsibilities when it comes to my firms outdoor pursuits. This often leaves them looking baffled and my husband in stitches.

Sorry, nothing to do with the thread but I thought I'd share.

Thanks Julie and Fiona,
Hopefully just round the corner from them..
2 things good about property close to my folks and approx 1/2 acre garden so I can get a seperate doggy garden and a nice garden to.
Will need to wait till tommorrow afternoon to see if off has been accepted. If not the hunt is on.
We built this house recently and it has 5 bedrooms..1 child so it is too big but we did it as a investment and the way the market is it worked out really good for us . Fingers crossed. Will let you all know

Hi Fiona,
I am super excited so thought I would let you know that I finally got my offer accepted for the house I am after. You may remember me saying I am a bit of a build and move but that is now finished..LOL
We bought a bungalow near my parents and it has 0.66 acre of land , and lucky for us the double garage has not been built yet so we will build one alot bigger and longer so I can have a wee grooming room/area in it , and I can get a nice run for my pair. I'm near my mum. My daughter is super happy as this is the area we lived until our last project 18 months ago which is where we feel most at home.
There are only 12 bungalows in the street so all round it is perfect for us.. you can tell I am a bit excited. The house I live in just now is lovely we just built it this year but the house id big and the land is not. We have been hunting for one with land as you knwo you cannot get big bits now.
I have always wanted this house since it was built 6 years ago , so well pleased.
Sorry to bore you but happy...:-))
Pam

Yay!

I keep getting more and more depressed the more I am reading about Christmas. :(
I haven't done a single thing yet and don't know when I am going to have time ! I really do not like doing "Christmas shopping".
What I thought though I was going to do for all my nieces and nephews is adopt a monkey for each of them. They are all of a similar character to them so they should all relate to it !! Better than giving them presents that they will play with for 5 minutes and then they will be cast a side and forgotten forever.
Oh dear I think I need a bit of a Christmas cheer injection ! :D

Adopting a monkey sounds like a great idea :) My kids would love to do that :)
The main problem I have with Christmas is that every year we end up throwing away or selling loads of toys as they've got so many and we know they'll be getting more at Christmas. We ask for clothes or books now!!

Decisions decisions

I've got one at 7 who can't decide if she's still young enough for Barbie or old enough for S Club:rolleyes: I love Christmas and bought a 'Rudolph' double bill videos earlier on in the week and we've watched the first one three times already:) I also invested £25 on a Father Christmas, Snowman and a Reindeer- you squeeze the hand on the father Christmas and he begins singing Jingle bells- the snowman sings the second verse, the reindeer the third and then they all sing together for the chorus:D :D :D
