My oh has a Blackberry Storm but he reckons the iphone is easier - the blackberry great for email whereas the iphone is not so good?

It depends what needs you have - Iphone's push email is rubbish where as Blackberry is fantastic. My husband has the Blackberry Bold and got this to replace his Iphone because being able to receive email anywhere and everywhere is really important to him. He loves his Blackberry and only misses the Iphone because he cant use BBC Iplayer on the Blackberry and he could on the Iphone. Apple have ensured that you cant get any ringtones etc without paying for them from their store (hubby had lots of music and ringtones he wanted to transfer via bluetooth but it doesn't allow it) - you cant even receive picture messages as they are automatically blocked. Our son now has the Iphone which he loves because he has a posh MP3 player and he can go on MSN messenger anytime, anywhere. I think its down to personal needs and preference, I would go to Carphone Warehouse or such and have a play with both.

My OH gave his Blackberry Storm back after one day as he couldn't work out how to use it!! Then again, he is a man ;-)

Oh dear - what's 'push' email?  TBH, the main reason for getting it is to be able to send and receive emails when out and about.   My friend has an iphone and I'm pretty sure she said emailing is fine.

My boss has an iphone and he uses normal email on it when out and about with no problems - but I'm not sure what a 'push' email is, I'm afraid - I'd be interested to know which you plump for in the end though, as I'm also looking at getting a Blackberry or Iphone for the same reasons as you. :-)

My OH says if its mainly email then the Storm if far better - will get further info for you :)

Push email is the term used for always available / switched on email that you receive and can send instantly. I must admit being a girly, I would prefer the Iphone which is almost like a peice of jewelry over Blackberry which I think looks like a business man's phone. Re Iphone email - my Husbands didn't come through instantly - often up to 2 hours after they were sent which was defeating the object.

Hi Jen,

I have an iphone.... and I hate it!
What anoys me is that I can't send or recieve picture messages :( (you can however get round this by downlaoding and paying for (!!) applications that can get round it but I begrudge this)
Because I have an Apple Mac I like the set up and ease of just popping my finger on something and dragging it round the screen... but personally.... I wish I'd gone for the 'Crack-berry' now.
