Chai's first proper show today, at 6 mths 1 day. And he and no.1 daughter got best puppy in breed!! Very, very chuffed, and it came with a shield! Daughter very pleased and she took him in for Best Puppy in  Show. Didn't make the cut, unfortuneately, but it had been a very long day by then and daughter is philosophical, and can't wait for next show. And Chai seemed to really enjoy it! So a good day all round.

Was it Coventry ? If so, I saw Chai in the puppy group, he looked lovely and really did enjoy himself. Well done.

Yes it was Coventry. By the time of the puppy group Chai had decided that he had behaved for long enough!! Offered to take him in, but Shana was determined and she dealt with him very well. As she has had no training, just watching at other shows, I was thrilled at her composure and how well she coped with him. It was a lovely show and we met some lovely gundog people. Everyone was very encouraging, across several breeds, and made us very welcome. And we had a wonderful judge who wanted, in her words, to make sure Chai's first show experience was a good one. A very nice lady. Hope that you had a good show, Crinklecut.
