Hi
My little girl has been on galostop for a week now and finished last dose this morning. This is the first time i have used it but she always has such full on phantoms producing milk and digging. She's done this since her first season and it goes on for weeks - her last season was november she's just over 2.
This time as it was not subsiding and we have crufts this week i thought i'd take to the vet who prescribed galostop but she's really gone off her food and wont eat hardly anything which she really cant afford to do. Milk doesn't seem to have gone down and she's still digging the kitchen floor a few times a day. Her mum is also having a full on phantom but not affected by it at all.
I dont know about any one else but a week seems a awful look time to be on it I was advice to use it for 5 days max then if it does clear up give a break and give some more after a week.
My beagle used to be made ill by it so I used to give it to her in the food and she digested it better.
Hope she gets better soon
thanks
The vet said 6 days so that what shes had. I think it made her sick this morning but cant put it in food as she's not eating very well and seems to know if i've put it treats etc.

My bitch is also on day 6 ergo last day too, this is her first phantom at 2 1/2 but her milk has dried up and she's almost back to her old bossy self, food intake hasn't been affected.
Sounds more like she's still in the phantom if the meds were going to make her sick it would have done so with her first dose, many bitches go off their food and vomit towards the end of whelp so possibly she's doing the same and her hormones are still OTT, certainly worth taking her back to the vets for a check up.
