nope, its just a small vibration to get the attention of deaf dogs.
i had a deaf white pup returned to me wed night as she could not cope, after having it 2 days i actually found out the dog has never been disciplined so is a bit wayward in its ways. he just needs something she can get his attention with to give him a hand signal. fortunately hes very intelligent and picks up things really quickly.
