my pup started with the runs today (i was thinking it was because i added some tripe to her food) and it didnt agree with her ....but now my shih tzu as been sick and my ess as been sick and got the runs :(

my other girl is 40 days into whelp and im worried..... if its a bug she will get it ,could this affect her whelps ?

but she also had some tripe and i dont know if it was this , and if it was it must of been bad so would this affect her whelps ? of course i will be stright to the vets with all of them if it carrys on as 2 of them are only pups (4months ) and i know how quickly they can dehidradrate (sorry carnt spell) the same as mum to be ...any 1 had problems with sickness at this stage ? thanks

I wonder if there is a bug going round, my 4 month old had serious runs in the night and looks very depressed this morning so I'm off to the vets when they open, none of my others are ill yet but last time there was a bug 4 of them went down with it but the others didnt, I hope yours get well soon.

there is a 48hr bug going round all normally healthy dogs seem to be fine- i would think your pregnant girl will be ok so long as you give her lots of fluids...same goes for the younger 2

Took my boy to the vets this morning and a tummy bug was confirmed, he's to starve today and start on the i.d food tomorrow, he is very subdued right now but I'm glad its a relitively minor prob.

All my dogs have had a 24/48 hr tummy bug over the last week or so.  24hours with fluids only then light meals have got them right again no problem.  Two of them are 5mth old youngsters and they got through as well no problem.

Don't think many people are missing it.

I'm glad its a bug that passes fairly quickly, my boy has made little attempts to play but then goes back on the sofa feeling very sorry for himself, lots of cuddles are in order I think.
