Who should a complaint be raised with if a dog with incorrect paperwork had qualified and was going to be shown at Crufts?

The Kennel Club :-)  They should have a department that deals with complaints.

£35 fee to the Kennel club.

If there is a error or mistake would the kennel club or the organisers of Crufts not notice it rather than get yourself involved.  Do you know this to be 100%

I know you didnt ask for any opinion but I always wonder why people want to get involved :-)

Yes I do know it to be fact but do not want to post full details here.

I thought that the £35 was for an objection raised at the time of the show?

If you were beaten in the ring by a dog who shouldn't have been there would you not have wanted someone to bring it to light?

Why not phone the KC and ask how to proceed?  I suspect the fee will be payable though as it is their means of limiting spurious claims I would imagine.

I remember reading on another forum someone complained that a dog was a day too old for the class and they had to pay the £35 , think it is as Isabel says £35 per complaint regardless. Sports-competition will attract a lot of complaints come valid some not I would suspect a big % not :-)  Not saying this is the case here but I can understand the need for a filter.

Maybe if it was the difference between a CC or not but probably not for anything else to be honest.   Incorrect paperwork being corrected still wouldn't affect if the dog was better or not in my opinion.  That's just me.   Not someone I would get into regardless though.

Did this mean the difference between you qualifying and not?  Did you query it at the show?  I'm just wondering if perhaps you've missed your opportunity to do anything about it now.

Can I use your question as an opportunity to get a bit more info?  I'll use your scenario as an example:

Dog A was beaten by Dog B.  Dog B shouldn't have been there (presumably over qualified for class?).  Dog B qualified at several shows last year but only mentioned the above show on the entry form.  If the error was noticed, would Dog B be disqualified from entering at Crufts OR would they take his other qualifications into consideration.  IF this was all noticed very early in the process would Dog A be given the opportunity to enter Crufts.

Sorry if that just confuses things but I find the rules so much easier to understand when someone on here explains them to me!!

Thank you, it is now in the hands of the relevant department.
