Lots of posts so far re the big 'C'. I would like to congratulate every one who has a dog qualifield, some will not be going for varying reasons but they should still be congratulated. It is not easy to get there and a lot of hard work and dedication is required.
You are ALL WINNERS, whatever you achieve on the day is a bonus, a placing is great, a win is fantastic, C.C or Res C.C. is superb, B.O.B. would be excellent, wait for it.. A Group win WOW and to the Best In Show winner will be on cloud 59 for months.

Enjoy your day, stay safe and let us all know how it went.
GOOD LUCK!!

Well said. I'd qualified two dogs but missed the entry due to a family bereavement but there  is always next year.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL

I have to say I'm really excited this year (no not expecting BOB LOL)  I'm really looking forward to seeing the SWDs at Crufts showing for the first time.  My two will probably explode with the excitement of seeing so many curlies around them.  I'm looking forward to catching up with friends I haven't seen for ages either.
- By tooolz Date 26.02.09 08:24 UTC
Thanks Marion.

I for my sins, am taking 4 Cavaliers and we have two rings...heaven help me.
But before that......... I have the parent club show..the 'big one' this weekend and there is an entry of over 500 so I'm going to be a busy girl.

Lots of dog bathing for me then....

> you all ways bring the best dog home

Yes of course, my Dweeb is the best dog on the planet...official :-) or maybe it's his Mum or then again it's might be his sister. :-) :-)
- By Teri Date 26.02.09 08:57 UTC
Hi Marion,

Are you going?  Thanks for the good wishes :)

Hubby and I will be there on Sunday with one in SJD (Seriously Juvenile Delinquent) and big sister in OB (Outstandingly Beautiful)  ...... am I coming across as biased at all :-p  ..........  a much welcome gap between to hopefully recharge my batteries after all the grooming, grooming and even more grooming (just getting the boy to stay still is exhausting enough LOL).

Fortunately we have a very obliging daughter to 'babysit' the one not going - knowing my luck that'll be the exact one the judge would have preferred because she's absolutely dripping in coat :-D

Good luck for that one too :)

Good luck to everyone.

Not sure what days I will be there but definitely Sunday as 2 TM entered- but they are both blowing their coat so who knows?! :-)
- By scarlettwynter [gb] Date 26.02.09 17:45 UTC
Have 3 entered  on Sunday but two are starting to blow their coats so I may just take the delinquent!

Good luck to everyone.
- By ice_queen Date 26.02.09 17:58 UTC
Good luck everyone!

We have two enterd but one has been lame for 2 weeks and the rimadal isn't stopping the limping (but making it alot less painful) so doubt she will be being shown as next week she is being booked in for x-rays!

Don't think we will do much this year, not got the judges type :)  But still we go :)

However a very good friend is judging her breed at crufts so will also be going up to support her for her day, My brother is doing YKC handling with a border terrier and I'm in my class with a red and white setter! :-D  Aswell as supporting our 3 handlers from ringcraft who are all qualified for their YKC classes I would say, whatever happends we are going to have a great year! :-D

(Afterall I had a fantastic year last year with a BOB for me and Bro's 2nd YKC handling win on the trot, I've been preparing myself for the worst year yet this year!!!)
- By K5Kees Date 26.02.09 18:50 UTC
Well I'm going on friday to handle a pup for someone, my girly is going too but her coat isnt! So we shall see.

Good Luck All

Mischa had qualified but Roxy ate her tail hair hence I mated her on advice of some older breeders while tail grows back.
Roxy has qualified for 2010 so hoping Miscah doesnt get her own back...
Would love to go to spectate but pup will just be two weeks and not sure I can leave her
- By crazy-cockers [gb] Date 26.02.09 19:52 UTC
I have just the one Cocker going, he already has his Stud Book number (previous owner-i'm not that lucky-yet!) my other boy missed out qualifying by one place each time grrrrr! But i wish he was going, we have a Finnish Judge, he has continental breeding on his dams side, and a lot of overseas people keep contacting his breeder to buy him lol! Plus he is in full coat too, my other boy is just coming back into coat, so we will see, you never know!
Good Luck everyone-it's going to be a fab day anyway! :)
- By abraham [gb] Date 27.02.09 08:52 UTC

- By molezak [gb] Date 27.02.09 10:28 UTC
Ahh, good luck to everyone from me too... It's my 20th Crufts, I'm showing on Hound day this year... Safe journeys to all, Kay xx
- By Henri3402 [gb] Date 27.02.09 11:10 UTC
We only entered two this year, but unfortunately the girls have now come in season, brought in by the puppy who is one of the ones entered!!!!!!  I would NEVER show a bitch in season and it's one hell of a journey from up here just to take the boy so it looks like we won't be going.  Good luck to all.
- By echo [gb] Date 27.02.09 14:10 UTC

- By Elvee Date 28.02.09 19:21 UTC
I have 2 deerhounds entered on Thursday and am getting SOOOOOO excited. We'll be leaving the north-east at 3.30am,so it's a very long day.I'll be looking out for other doggy cars on the M1,so if someone gives you a toot,it could be me!!
- By Dill [gb] Date 28.02.09 19:45 UTC
I'm taking 2 of mine, the Devil pup and her mum - I've never taken 2 to a show before, always one or the other    Granny is staying home because I can't stand her excited screaming in the car for 2 1/2 hours   Daughter's doggy sitting :)

sod's law but Granny's coat is fab, the pup's is lovely but her mum's coat is recovering from a phantom so not the best.   Never mind, I'm not expecting anything except a great day out meeting up with friends and hoping to meet some CD-ers :-D

Good luck to everyone going and to the first timers, remember you already have the best dog and will take it home with you too :) so have FUN!
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 28.02.09 21:22 UTC
I'm looking forward to it also.  Taking Anton to be shown on the Saturday as it's the Spanish Water Dogs first ever time there.  We will more than likely get thrown out as he's too tall and fine and I know the judge likes the chunkier types and since his last fight with Lastar his leg goes off to one side at the front.  Still really looking forward to it though and have to take him when it's the first time the breeds ever been there.

Also looking forward to taking my young horror.  Was only going to take her to DD's on the Thursday but a few people have asked to see her on the Saturday as well so I'll have my hands full on that day I think.
- By jennyb59 [gb] Date 01.03.09 11:29 UTC
You and me both Diane.....With all the dogs in Open class we can be slung out together...hee hee.....
Still not sure about taking Merlin, cant see them both in the same class..Him and Archie will be like dumb and dumber in the same ring...!!!!!!
Just looking forward to seeing everybody and their dogs at Crufts for the first time, hope theres some nice ones from abroad as well.....

Good Luck to Everyone...Enjoy your day..

Jenny
