My girl went in to first stage labour about midnight last night.Panting and scratching but no contractions and vulva dry no discharge. We have been up all night. She has had her breakfast and is very quiet. How much longer

This stage can sometimes last 24 hours or more
If she's been pushing for 2 hours and hasn't produced anything then you really need to speak to your Vet.

No 2 1/2 hours is long enough, if she is having strong contractions and not expelling the pup (In the bag) then she needs to be looked at by a vet..NOW...Can you see the pup at all? ifso and if it is coming out with each push then returning inside you need to catch hold as it appears and apply gentle downwards pressure to help expell it. My advice would be to pop her in the car and get to the vet.
Good luck.

Good on you! :-) I always make sure I get one in stock after I have a bitch mated. Mostly end up throwing it in the bin when it's out of date, still unopened. But what price the life of a puppy?
If there is any chance at all, you will definitely have enhanced those chances with Dopram and we are all sending positive thoughts. Very pleased your girl did so well. Jean

Place him in the palm of your hand, supporting head and spine. Swing him, upside down quite fast, if that makes sense?

Yes it does! And exactly the right thing to do...:-)

have used dopram v once worked wonders usually same as Jean end up throwing it out same with Nutridrops , my new supply has just arrived for this litter but we have a little while to wait yet.
Hope your babies thrive well enjoy them its all over so quickly!
