A friend and another (top)breeder in my breed have both mention CSJ, with the breeder raising my young boy on it.

I looked into it and according to the website testamonials its very good (though I'm always the pessimist when it comes to website 'customer testamonials' ;-) ) and the ingredients seem okay, though I was slightly bemused by the use of 'bread' as an ingredient.

The analysis and ingredients, for the adult 'Champ' kibble, as follows

TYPICAL ANALYSIS 
Protein 20%
Oil 9%
Fibre 3%
Ash 8.5%  
Vitamin A 15,000iu/kg
Vitamin D3 1,500iu/kg
Vitamin E 90iu/kg
Copper (as Copper Sulphate) 10mg/kg
 
INGREDIENTS
Beef and Lamb Meal, Wheat, Bread, Chicken Fat, Maize, Chicken Liver, Unmolassed Beet Pulp, Green Leaf Vegetable, Full Fat Linseed, EC permitted natural anti-oxidants, Mixed Tocopherols, Vitamin C and Rosemary Extract.

Has or does anyone use this? What are your experiences with it?
Any issues with coat/stools etc?

I know someone who uses it - it initially made the dog go from loose motions to completely the opposite.  They now feed it as a mixer with tripe, fresh minced meats and oily fish as they felt the coat quality wasn't all it should be on the food alone (this isn't a show dog - just an observant owner).  They also found the dog becoming a bit podgy on it whereas previously it was quite difficult to body up.

That's as much info as I have but may help you in decisions :)

the only drawback - which is hardly a big deal - is the poos are flakey

no diarrhaea though

I don't use Champ, but I do use "That'll Do!" and have found that my dogs do really well on it.  They'd been on Burns and had lost a lot of weight and condition despite adding regular meat to their ration - making it the most expensive dog biscuits ever! :(  walking toast racks was not too strong a description   

After only a week or two on "That'll Do!" they were much better.  Now they are just the right weight and have good muscle on their bones and lovely coats/skin/teeth.  It's a really good price too :)

Excellent poos and not too much either - so good result all round :)

My friend uses this for her 3 GSD's & Jack Russell - and she has been very pleased with the results. One of the GSD's has a sensitive stomach but has done well on the CSJ food. Only problem is - I'm not sure which variety she uses!

I have used CSJ for years with excellent results.

I tried Champ on my dogs, but they didn't do well on it. However, my friends newfie cross does fantastically well on it and has the most beautiful shiny black coat.

Mine were on CSJ Command Performance with great results, also Lamb and Rice was great, am now trying Herbie Nuts.
