I did and I stand by what I said.

The facts to me are not a good role model and if I were looking at my daughters being involved with somebody that had that background then I would be very wary in fact 'barge pole[' comes into my mind until I was shown they had changed and had shown remorse for what they had done. Just because she is dying is not a reason for him to be exonerated.
- By newf3 [gb] Date 24.02.09 21:53 UTC
good for her.
shes playing the media at there own game so she can provide for her kids after shes gone.
I would want to do the same if it were me.
Although i dont have kids i can understand her need to make sure that one of the things they dont have to worry about is money.
After all they are going to lose there Mum.
Poor things.

:-) I'm glad the boys will be with their father.

A quote from that article:

> "Everything I have - my house and my money - is going to my sons. And just in case you were wondering, Jack won't be getting any money out of me or from the wedding.

> "He wants everything to go to the boys."

That doesn't sound like someone who is out for everything he can get.
- By Carla Date 25.02.09 08:59 UTC
I think he will do quite well out of it regardless of what he gets through her... "My life with Jade" etc etc... He'll be set up for life.  Not bad for a nasty little bully.
- By Whistler [gb] Date 25.02.09 09:05 UTC
Carla I would not let that person near my kids there is a difference between criminal activities. ABH or GBH is different its dangerous it shows a lack of control.
I think you are right, you did not comment on any role model issues that i read.
I would not want him near my adult sons with a temper like he has.

Not all criminal records are violent, my brother had one for disturbing the peace (drunk in a flower bed), i have a friend who runs a v. big scaffolding company but he can't go on site, when he was about 16 he got pissed and had a fight. He is in his 40's now, well respected ect but his record goes with him. He did not go after a 16 year old with a golf club - sorry not my type of responsible adult yet he's 21 for gods sake.

Re parenting I did not see you comment on that either if everyone in this country that did something daft never got a second chance we would really be in the mire.

And yes very few atheists on a battle field or knowing that they are facing their maker!!
- By craigles Date 25.02.09 13:29 UTC
I'm not saying he personally will change but this sad sad situation may be the start of a change in him.  However, I agree not all criminal records are for violence and anyone who is charged with ABH, GBH or similar can change and gain their self control.  I know from personal experience believe me, gained from someone very close to me.

When me and an ex split up i continued to see his children, even though i had no legal obligation too, because we both agreed that whatever happened between us, the children had grown attached to me and it wasnt fair to take it out on them by me suddenly exiting their life.
I hope for the boys sake that Jack DOES stay around. Im sure that being such a major part of their short life they feel a close to bond to him and will no doubt enjoy the familiarity they have with him when they tragically lose their mum. However, saying that i think Freddy & Bobby Dad Jeff deserves custody.
Whatever Jack has done that doesnt make him a bad parent/role model. Absolutely nobody is perfect. I have friends whos parents are very heavily involved in the criminal world, that doesnt make my friends criminals nor does it mean their parents did a bad job bringing them up. With any luck, Jack has learnt his lesson and the boys are too young to know any different

Within 6 months there will be a book called "My life with Jade"...written by that aggressive nasty bully boy Jack...he doesn't need any of her money as he's set to make rather a lot on his own spilling the gorey little details of their short relationship...i bet the child he battered with a golf club doesn't see a penny of it in compensation !

I really am quite sick of seeing it on the tv hearing it on the radio Jade this Jack that  etc he didnt look to bothered in his bra and knickers laughing his head off getting into a flash car, I realise after all weddings  are a 'happy time' but  I am afraid I wouldnt be able to jolly myself up that much if I knew my partner was dying. To be really honest I think the lot of them including the media have got everyone eating out of thier hands , Jade has pots of money much more than any of us would need for a decent life I dont think all this is dignified at all .

And I can speak from experience I lost my father who had a good job we were reasonably well off compared to some those days when my brother and I were young children , I couldnt imagine for one moment my Mother going to this kind of extent to make money for a better life for us kids , we had to  survive on what we had and our lives changed but it did not make me a lesser person for it in fact I learned how to survive without a silver spoon in my mouth.
My Mother died from a brain tumour and lung cancer so I have been there and know exactly how they are 'should' be feeling .

> I'm probably going to be struck down for this, but she looks really well to me in the pics,

you know what i thought that to, her face seems to look better recently (which sounds terrible i know). i was thinking maybe shes just one of those women who suit very very short/no hair. she also has looked quite serene when i've seen pics (and i'm not exactly following it), so i hope that shes dealing with it as well as she looks.

I read yesterday that Jade went to bed at 10:30 on their wedding night and he stayed up and partied until 4am... nice. I always got the feeling she loves him more than he loves her.
- By annee [gb] Date 26.02.09 09:42 UTC
I agree..his body language says it all...he'd rather be elsewhere with anyone else.
- By St.Domingo Date 26.02.09 09:58 UTC
I saw a full-length photo the other day and noticed how thin her legs looked - she has always been a 'bigger' sized girl .
Her face looks puffy but that could be steroids . She could also have fluid retention .

She was on TV talking into the camera doing an ad for a magazine the other day , and i thought that , she looked frightened and bewildered . I really feel for her - to leave your children behind must be such a wrench .  I just wish that she would give herself some dignity .   Her friends/family will be circling like vultures to sell their story to the media once she has gone . That's why i don't buy celebrity magazines , just like i wouldn't buy a puppy from a BYB - it just encourages .
- By Carla Date 26.02.09 09:59 UTC
and now he is begging for his curfew to be lifted to be by her side in her dying hours. can it get any more tacky? can he use her to his own advantage any more than he is already? probably!
- By Isabel Date 26.02.09 10:01 UTC
...or maybe he would just like to be by her side.
- By Carla Date 26.02.09 10:02 UTC
like he was on their wedding night? ;) he's a leech!! lol (I am on one this morning - can you tell)

My thoughts exactly! People's private lives should be just that - private.
- By Isabel Date 26.02.09 10:11 UTC

Looking at her as she got out of that helicopter I can well imagine she was exhausted by that time.
Who knows if he is a leech or not.  Does it matter?
With the greatest respect to other peoples take on this matter I do not believe there is a common expression of emotions for these times.   I know I  would not wish to be in their shoes so I begrudge them nothing.
- By Whistler [gb] Date 26.02.09 10:20 UTC
Or maybe she could be with her MIL and the curfew would not need to be lifted.
- By Isabel Date 26.02.09 10:26 UTC

> Or maybe she could be with her MIL

I did wonder that myself but maybe the house is not suitable in terms of its facilities.
- By Harley Date 26.02.09 11:08 UTC
Even at the saddest and most heartbreaking of times it is possible to find joy in things. Some people cope by appearing to be excessively happy but who knows what is going on inside them - outward appearances can mask internal turmoil. Does it really matter if the rest of the world doesn't see this marriage in the same light as Jade does -if it makes her happy during a time when she must be feeling devastated  then that is all that matters as far as I am concerned.

Agree Harley

I too also thought about her going to be with the MIL and as Isabel says I thought the house would maybe not be suitable for the type of care Jade will need .....

this is just such a sad situation I cant help but feel sad when I read anything about Jade right now

It's the sort of house that most other people in Jade's position have got ......... a 1930s semi .....!  People who don't have publicity make the best of the situation that they've got, not ask for special dispensation. :)

I would not be surprised if special dispensation was quite often granted in these sorts of circumstances.

I just meant things like stairs ets which could make it difficult for her....wasnt taking anything away from anyone who is going through the same that is not a "celeb"... I was just thinking thats maybe why she is not going to Jacks house.
Everyone who has cancer imo should be given the best  treatment regardless of  weather they have money or not.
Sorry if you misread me

It's just been reported that Jade Goody has died - may she now rest in peace, and find the peace and tranquillity that she failed to find in life.    May her love stay with her boys through their lives, and may they not forget their noisy, brash and gutsy mum.

RIP Jade.

RIP Jade, so very, very, sad.

So sad to hear about Jade.....Theres a new star in heaven tonight.
My thoughts and my love  go to her Family, esp her mum Jackiey and her boys Freddy and Bobby...As today is Mothers day.
Poor Jack too.
I think the whole family have been very brave and Jade has certainly raised awareness of such a terrible disease...
R.I.P  Jade xx
