Hello,

I have never breed dogs and have no knowledge of, so please don't read my ignorance as trying to be controversial...I'm just trying to learn/understand.

What I do understand from reading the threads is why one would like to mate such close lines, but if it was ok to do so then why are KC putting restrictions on it??  Are there repercussions for the puppies for doing this?  I can only relate the whole issue to humans and we wouldn't do it, but is that more because it would seem wrong or for health reasons?

Thank you.

The KC aren't putting restrictions on this combination.  The restrictions relate to full brother x sister matings, not half siblings :)  When mating half siblings there is only one common parent.
