Just thought I'd see if anyone else has experience of this food and share my experience with you. Our vet recently put our 7 month old pup on a trial of this after she had been vomiting repeatedly and her investigations came back ok. I think they want to do an elimination trial, and re-introduce her usual food (james wellbeloved) after to see if she starts vomiting again. The only thing is now I don't want to put her back on James Wellbeloved. We always thought she was a fussy eater as she wouldn't touch her food all day and there had to be meat of some sort mixed in to make her eat an evening meal. Now she can't get enough of this new dry food - she's eating 3 good meals a day without anything mixed in and goes mad for this food. It really stinks of fish - but as long as she's happy I don't think we should change it! Also I've noticed that she's no longer really flatulent, which she was every night since we got her - but I always thought it was down to her breed, rather than the food (she's a bouvier).

I know its a bit more expensive, but if I buy it online there isn't much difference between it and jwb. Would love to hear your views. Thanks

if the initial symptoms are gone, she's enjoying the food and your happy buying it would stick to the royal canin. if it works why change?

We have fed Royal Canin from day one and I would 100% recommend it.  I have yet to have any problems with it, but I guess it is like most foods, you need to sort out what works best for your dog. 

If it aint broke don't fix it?!

I fed RC sensitive when one of mine was young as recommended by my vet, she did very well on it,only thing i found was her poo was very chalky.

You're preaching to the converted here!  :-)    Wouldn't change it, mine do fantastic on RC.  If your dog is looking good, and showing how much she enjoys it that's great.

Hi Othello56, Floyd has been on R C Sensitivity for nearly a year now, he has a very sensitive stomach, he loves it, looks really good on this food and I always thought Floyd was a finicky eater before his problems started, but not since he has been on this.  Just out of interest, how much do you pay for yours, I pay nearly £80 per 14kg bag.  They have just changed the recipe on this, it is now Blue Whiting and Tapioca and the vets said (which is where I get if from) says it is an even better recipe than the previous one.

Your vet is adding a 100% mark up.  I pay less than half that.  I have mine delivered direct from RC and delivery is free.

Iwould try vet-uk for sensitivity control sc 24 its £53.41 for 14kg. thats a big difference to what you are paying.

What did the old recipe have in it? Does anyone remember? I'm just curious
I've recently bought a bag of the new recipe blue whiting & tapioca. Haven't got round to trying it yet. We're still on the Hills z/d Ultra elimination diet!

Anndee, I think the old recipe was just labelled "white fish and tapioca", so I suppose it is now select by just using blue whiting.

was capalin and tapioca  apparently capalin is same family as blue whiting.

Went to their stand at Cruft's years ago and said that I wanted to join the RC Dog Breeder Club.  As far as I recall, they just asked me my affix and what KC registered dogs I had.  Oh yes, what breeds, think that was all.  And it's great not having to collect it from the vet!

Oh, shame I don't have an affix!

Vetuk seems to be the cheapest otherwise then (other places are cheaper but have postage costs to add on).

I buy it from Vetuk.co.uk like everyone has suggested. It is a lot cheaper than at the vet's! I'm definitely not going to change her food to anything else - in fact a 14kg bag arrived by courier yesterday!
