My OH has gone to bed early feeling unwell - he spent the day fitting dog guards, tailguards, radios, iPod stuff etc into our new car and his new 'old banger'.  Said it was a Valentines pressie for me and the dogs as I was bored of the limited radio and they were bored of my singing.  Who said romance is dead??!! :)

Names : how about Tito or Titus? Probably derived from the Sabine Tities, meaning "he who defends, defender;" or Luca/Luka (no reason other than an affection for Goran Visnjic in ER!)

if hes coming in from italy he must be approx 9 months old so surely he will already have a name that he knows and is used to??
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 15.02.09 11:19 UTC
I assumed he must be a baby puppy at the moment who won't be coming over for some months yet so a name is needed for him to get used to before he arrives.

Luigi? (pr: loo-ee-gee)

Louis for short :)
- By fifi [gb] Date 15.02.09 16:31 UTC
yes JG he is a baby puppy and needs a name before he goes to our friends in Spain until he can come here when he is 10 months

The farm we stay on in Italy has a dog called Bruno which is a very popular name over there and another called Felucia (pronounced Feloocha)
I like Fabio which is my Italian friends sons name.
I have just registered a litter of pups with Italian names, Bella Bambina, Bellissima and Belladonna, but they are all girls names.
As you can tell I love Italy, i'm saving up for pet passports so we can all go and hopefully go and live there too in the next couple of years.
Good luck with your new boy.

No other reason needed at all...  Still miss him now he's no longer in ER.  <<<sigh>>>

My boy is named Alfonzo, after Rudolph Valentino (the old black and white movie actor, full name Rodolpho Alfonzo Rafaelo Pierre Filibert Guglielmi di Valentina d'Antonguolla!).

Valentino's fathers was named Giovanni...
So was thinking Gio was quite nice.  Also Rafaelo, or you could shorten to Rafe or Raffa!! lol

Thank you everyone, I am passing the names on to my OH whose will be choosing the name :)
