I wrote about a month ago as a guest about the toilet problems my saluki was having. The advice I received was spot on. I was indeed overfeeding him and he was indeed getting too much nutrition from puppy food. I have gradually over the last month swapped to adult food, reduce the amount, and phased out the canned food I was giving him. The problems with pooing too much and pooing in the house stopped within a week or two. I'm very grateful for your advice, giving me a quick and effective solution to waht was a really frustrating problem. Thanks!!
However... one problem leads to another, and my dog now seems to be food obsessed. He is basically looking for food whenever he is not sleeping - he used to be very friendly and playful in the park with other dogs, but now ignores them to go foraging, and he even gives up on games in the house to go searching for food. We have never ever fed him from the table and we constantly and consistently tell him to get down from the sink, out of the bins, out of our faces whenever we are eating, etc etc. Again I'm stumped and frustrated and I'd be really appreciative of some good advice to put a stop to this behaviour.
Cheers,
Phil

It is normal for a dog particulaly a hound to always be hungry. You will have to judge if he is getting enough by how he feels, with your breed you would expect to feel the ribs but you should not be able to see the backbone. :)
