I am really gob-smacked, I have in the past asked on here for some advice re: my nephews Doberman Lola, she has had in the past problems with her eyes, vets said they were fine. Also trouble with her stools, I have recently put on a thread about her on feeding (nephews doberman again) as it was thought the food and being over fed where the cause of why Lola had/s stools that were/still are irregular ranging from ok firm to really sloppy, and once had blood in, as well as what looked like white specks in her urine, any way like all good owners, straight off to the vet and as I said in other thread they allways think he is a bit neurotic, he goes to the P.D.S.A, who have told him her eyes were fine, she didnt have a urine infection, though not tested! and to change her food, to jwb, burns,rc etc, well as myself and others on here expressed he should to another vet as he never felt they had listened to him, so finally they did hooray! Thank God!
Lola has hair growing in her eyes and is not just tired as the P.D.S.A said, she also has conjuntivitis from the irritation, she has to have electrolysis, she has a sensitive tummy and needs to be on chicken and rice diet for three weeks and if her stools and odour has not improved they'll do a stool sample to check for parasites.
What really really annoys me is this should of and could of been sorted out, they did not take him seriously he has tried to complain but has got no where, I no the good thing is she has been sorted out now at last but this should not have happend in the first place!
Sorry rant and grumble over and out!

all i can say is at least now there is light at the end of the tunnel.these should be ailments which which any vet should have picked up esp the eyes, and your nephew must be really upset. i would take it further as this pdsa vet doest sound competant, they didnt listen to the owners plus they let the poor dog suffer. but saying that the new vet seems good and the dogs problems should br sorted soon.good luck to your  newphew and his dog and i hope this is the start of a long and happy life with his dog.:-)ps my wife wants to now were this pdsa vets are.

> this pdsa vet doest sound competant,

The problem is you never see the same vet again, they have lots of different ones. He has complained, not only about the vets but about the reception staff too, they just seem to have a really bad attitude at this PDSA.

ps my wife wants to now were this pdsa vets are.

Its classed as Hendon, North West London. :-)
